WE BELIEVE THAT THE INTERNET SHOULD BE AVAILABLE AND ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE, REGARDLESS OF CIRCUMSTANCES AND ABILITY. TO ACHIEVE THIS, WE STRIVE TO ADHERE AS STRICTLY AS POSSIBLE TO THE ACCESSIBILITY GUIDELINES FOR CONTENT ON THE INTERNET. ADHERING TO THESE GUIDELINES HELPS US ENSURE THAT THE SITE IS ACCESSIBLE TO ALL SITE USERS. Accessibility arrangements at the Weinberg Medical Center clinic
- Disabled parking – The Weizmann Center parking lot where the clinic is located has regulated and marked disabled parking spaces beyond what is required by regulations. Disabled parking spaces are adjacent to elevators, with signs and directions as requested, accessible passageways, and ramps. For tall vehicles there is a reserved space with ramps and handholds on level -1. There is an option for communication at the entrance and exit of the parking lot by notifying the hearing impaired.
- The entrance door to the tower and access – the entrance door in the lobby of the tower is a sliding door so that the entrance for people with wheelchairs is accessible. The building has several accessible entrances – from Weizmann Street, from the lobby of the office tower, from the nearby shopping mall on the ground floor, and from the internal areas of Ichilov Hospital on the ground floor, from the underground parking lot in the green area. They all have wide and accessible passageways.
- Lobby – The lobby floor is staffed 24/7 and contains signage and directions. The receptionist's counter in the lobby has an induction loop device for the hearing impaired, there are stationery. At the entrance to the building, there is an orientation and voice guidance system for the blind and hearing impaired.
- Elevators – In the tower lobby, there are several elevators with a wide entrance (100 cm), wheelchair-accessible, with voice announcements, accessible buttons containing Braille, and in accordance with accessibility requirements.
- Warning surfaces – at entrances, staircases and escalators, in accordance with regulations.
- Near the main entrance/exit is a taxi rank.
- Services – Each floor of the Weizmann Center has 3 toilets open 24/7, women's toilets, men's toilets and disabled toilets with appropriate signage and directions. On the 19th floor where the clinic is located there are accessible, well-marked toilets located about 15-20 meters from the entrance of the clinic. Access to the toilet is open and keyless.
- The clinic – There is signage and voice guidance at the clinic entrance. The entrance is wide (about 100 cm), and there is a wheelchair accessible ramp. The treatment rooms and passageways are accessible (width 90-100 cm).
- There is no impediment to entering the Weizmann Center compound and the Weinberg Medical Center clinic with a guide dog.
Accessibility interface
- The site provides an accessibility interface, which allows the user to adapt the site to his personal needs.
- Access to accessibility options is done by pressing the dark blue accessibility button with a white man icon at the bottom left of the screen.
- Screen readers read as “Accessibility Interface.” Clicking the button opens the accessibility options.
